Abstract :
A depolarization method for obtaining wide-band polarization insensitive wavelength conversion is proposed based on four-wave mixing in a semiconductor optical amplifier. The 3 dB conversion bandwidth is 22 nm and the polarization dependence is less than 0.8 dB.
