Abstract :
The development of iron and steel industry needs corresponding strong logistics system. It´s important for steel logistics system that reduces costs and improves security of transport equipment through modern logistics methods. The railway transport is an important part of steel internal logistics. The torpedo train is special railway transport equipment for molten iron transportation which has the characteristics of overloading and high-risk. In this paper, based on the actual situation of Tangsteel, the features and causes analysis for torpedo train and molten iron transport system was given using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Then, take targeted measures including torpedo train reasonable allocation, elimination of defects and quality control to reduce equipment failure rate and increase productivity.
