Abstract :
We developed a new software package, called Duff, to address many of the visualization needs within the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging. Duff provides synchronized visualization of multiple co-registered image volumes, surfaces, and curves, which provides users with increased abilities to represent and interpret data. We describe the development of this package and an associated collection of data processing tools, as well as its use in the Mouse Atlas Project. We also describe several of the design decisions made during development and how they were influenced by the constraints of developing software within an academic environment.
