Abstract
The modified Szabo´s wave equation is an effective and new model for the power law frequency-dependent dissipative acoustic wave traveling through the complex lossy medium, in which the positive fractional derivative has first been used. This study makes an attempt to test the influence of tumor sizes on the reflecting line of ultrasound pressure by numerical simulating the CARI technique for breast tumors with the modified Szabo´s model. Our numerical results show that the reflecting line of ultrasound pressure changes obviously with the sizes of tumors. We conclude that numerical results obtained by the modified Szabo´s model quantitatively reflect the tumor sizes to a certain extent.
