Abstract :
This paper summarizes recent efforts in developing robust controller for automotive valve which is utilized in several key emission regulation components. The closed-loop system will be robust to both parameter uncertainties, sensor noise and unmodeled dynamics. The robustness of such system will provide confidence in satisfying future emission regulations under extreme conditions (noise, parameter drift, aging) and therefore allowing great performance in terms of durability. In order to provide theoretical guarantee of our method, a rigorous analysis is performed to provide stability argument even with measurement noise. Several tests are conducted. The test results demonstrate precise tracking performance of the developed methods.
