Abstract :
This paper presents a variant of the propagator method, known as the modified esprit-like propagator method (MEPM), that suffers no aperture loss and perform with a high resolution while the computational complexity is the same as that of the well-known PMV-ESPRIT. Simulation results verify that the proposed MEPM can provide better performance over the PMV-ESPRIT and total least squares ESPRIT (TLS-ESPRIT). The MEPM algorithm can be easily extended for the two dimensional DOA estimation although only a single dimensional results are shown in this paper.
