Abstract :
BNT-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been attracting great attention worldwide as new piezoelectric ceramics which will be most possibly in place of lead-containing piezoelectric ceramics. However, they are not as good as those lead-based piezoelectric ceramics and need to be further improved. In this paper, the recent development of researches on BNT-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics has been reviewed, and BNT-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics has been focused on from the aspects of the new system, enhancement of properties by doping and the new processing techniques. The future researches of BNT-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were suggested.
