Abstract
In this article, the equivalent dipole moment (EDM) method is extended and applied to analyze the electromagnetic scattering from arbitrarily shaped three-dimensional (3D) PEC targets coated by magnetic anisotropic media. Besides the advantage of reducing the computation time, the proposed EDM method makes it unnecessary to treat the boundary condition on the surface. The numerical results indicate that the method has strong capability to calculate the RCS of three-dimensional mixed bodies consist of magnetic anisotropic media and PEC targets.
