  • Abstract
The “Internet of Things” technology allows all building electrical equipments to be connected into the network, and make it possible to access and share mass data including equipment states, environmental parameters, etc. This paper presents the architecture of the Internet of Things for building electrical equipments, and develops an important block - the room controller for this system. The hardware circuit of the controller whose cores are the microprocessor MC9S12NE6 and UM2455, is designed. Besides the regular control functions, such hardware circuit of the room controller also has the RF transceiver and Ethernet interface which can make the wireless network self-organized, and facilitate communication between the room controller and the management computer. Furthermore, the software procedure and the energy-saving algorithm of the room controller are introduced in detail. All of these provide a new way to realize the global optimization for more and more building electrical equipments.
