    ENMAX Corporation in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is considering several wireless communication options for transporting electricity metering data. The paper explores the potential advantages and disadvantages of integrating metering data into an existing 900 MHz mesh radio network; deploying an 1800 MHz point-to-multipoint radio network; or utilizing commercial wireless data services to transport metering data.
