Revision of the GIS standard rated above 52 kV - C37.122

The subcommittee K1 “Gas Insulated Substations” of the Substations Committee has made an extensive revision of C37.122, IEEE Standard for High Voltage Gas-Insulated Substations rated above 52 kV and is entering now the balloting phase. This effort reflects an intensive effort for harmonization between IEC and IEEE standards. The revised standard emphasizes worker safety, environment, and reliability. Rather than create new requirements and tests. Many sections from IEC standards were, with permission from IEC, incorporated with only minor modifications.
