Abstract
On-demand data broadcast refers that the server receives the requests sent by clients by uplink, and schedules these requests to form a special order about all requested data items broadcast at multiple channels such that the waiting time of clients is reduced. With the increasing applied value of wireless data broadcast, on-demand data broadcast plays an important role in many mobile computing applications, such as navigation, air schedule and stock. At present, most existing on-demand data broadcast schemes are proposed to allocate the requests on multiple downlink channels in wireless networks. However, they are not considered the impact of the length of data items in each request. So the paper proposes a novel on-demand data broadcast scheme to schedule all requested data items on multiple channels through considering the length such that the broadcast cycle is reduced. Finally, we list some experiment results to validate the performance of our proposed algorithm compared with existing algorithms.
