Abstract
This paper presents a compact three-way planar Wilkinson power divider with overall dimensions of 23 mm × 12 mm operating over UWB with band-notched characteristic is presented. By using two F-shaped symmetric defected ground structures (DGS), a notched band covering the 5.8 GHz WLAN band (5.576.44 GHz) has been obtained. Through the whole UWB except the rejected frequency band, the measured results show that the proposed power divider has insertion loss of 5.2 ± 0.5 dB, better than 10 dB return loss, and good isolation of better than 15 dB. There is a good agreement shown between the measured and simulation results.
