            Abstract : 
The metal ceiling is being applied for the decorative ceiling, while traditional ceiling-mounted antennas are not suitable for the application in this environment. This article presents a novel microstrip slot antenna with bow-tie feed suited for the in-building signal coverage of the wireless communications in the metal ceiling environment. Both simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna has the impedance bandwidth of dual wide-bands 800-960MHz and 1700-2500Mhz in such environment.
