Abstract
Anisotropic perfectly matched layer is introduced in spectral-element time-domain method (SETD) as an absorbing boundary condition. By the use of PML, the SETD keeps the diagonal characteristic in mass matrix. So the updating of electromagnetic field is fully explicit when a central difference scheme is employed for the time discretization. Several numerical results have been shown that the use of this kind of PML in SETD is right and very effective.
