            Abstract : 
Electric vehicles (EV´s) are a gradually growing field for electric traction machines due to energy and environmental related constraints [1, 2]. The traction system of an EV consists of an electric traction machine (TM), power conversion electronics and energy source(s). The energy source(s) provide a DC link supply for the traction system. The impact on the electric traction machine design from the DC link variation is investigated in this paper.
