Abstract :
This paper presents methods to simulate and model the power passive components for EMI prediction. Analysis of the high frequency characteristics of passive components is firstly performed. Then for the prediction of EMI, high frequency performances of passive components are predicted using proposed method. Based on the predicted characteristic of passive components, their high frequency models can be built and used for EMI prediction. To illustrate and verify the proposed method, inductor examples and capacitor examples are simulated and measured.
