Abstract
The steam and water system of boiler is always divided into a drum level control system and a main steam temperature control system independently. The coupling is existed actually between these two loops, but it is often ignored by engineer or system designer. In this paper, the coupling between the drum level control system and the main steam temperature control system is determined by the controlled object character analysis and the relative gain matrix computing. Based on part decoupling method and feed-forward compensation principle, the corresponding decoupling compensator is designed to restrain and overcome the dynamic impact of coupling. The simulation experiments has done based controlled object model, drum level control loop, main steam temperature control loop, and feed-forward decoupling compensator. It proves the effectiveness of the designed system by comparing the operation curve of adding feed-forward compensator for decoupling control system and not. This system design has been successfully used in practice. The design idea can be applied to more kind of application.
