Abstract :
Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) modelling is now established as an accurate numerical tool for the full-wave analysis of microwave circuits. The technique may be applied to highly complex structures as it requires only the regions and the properties of the dielectric and conductors in the structure to be specified. The present paper presents results for both measurement and the FDTD analysis of a printed dipole antenna element and its associated feed network. The antenna is intended for operation within the band 9-12 GHz
