Abstract :
The deployment of 3G services is depending on mobile internet terminals. It is the carriers common view that smartphone is the most important vehicle for mobile internet services. Traditional smartphones have difficulties to adapt to new services and applications. The carriers are now trying to solve the quick adaptation to new service/application problem on devices by develop own operating system and introduce web based service platform to the smartphones. Web based mobile internet terminal service platform is a lightweight solution to support carriers service/application development and deployment and it will become an important support for future mobile broadband services.
