Study of WAPI technology and security

3G and WLAN will bring about a new pattern in networks. As the deployment of WLAN emerges weaknesses in security and manageable, controllable characters, WAPI is proposed to solve the security problems in networks. This paper discusses WAPI technologies, including working styles, authentication process, and key management, and analyzes superiors of double authentication, digital certificates, and concentrating key management. According to the characters of high security of WAPI, this paper points out the strategical status of WAPI, and the future work people could do.
