Abstract
Direct determination of test antenna pattern measurement error in a Compact Antenna Test Range is presented using simulated pattern measurements obtained by employing a realistic electromagnetic model for the CATR. Both a comprehensive 3D model and a computationally fast 2D model are described. The models are used to study the impact of the various operating parameters, including CATR rim treatment, edge illumination, maximum size of test antenna
