Abstract :
Ontology plays a key role in the semantic Web. Conclusions drawn from inconsistent ontology by classical reasoner may be completely meaningless. This paper uses fuzzy set theory to eliminate inconsistency of OWL-based ontology. The main goal is to analyze essence of inconsistent ontology and find method to deal with inconsistency. The method can be used as a foundation of inconsistency elimination as well as a basis for future research on fuzzy ontology reasoning.
