Abstract :
The paper describes a technique, based on a genetic algorithm GA, for the design and tuning of a state feedback controller with a reduced order observer, for a Pseudo Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Machine PDD. The controller was designed to eliminate torsional oscillations caused by the low stiffness of the magnetic gear, and provide smooth transient and good speed tracking based on ITAE performance index.
