Abstract :
This paper describes a variable speed drive and power control of a doubly fed induction machine (DFIM) without rotational transducers. A stator flux orientation scheme and rotor speed estimator are employed to achieve the power generating control. To show the validity of theoretical analysis, a 5 HP DFIM prototype system and PWM power converter are built. Computer simulations and experimental results are presented to support the discussion
