  • Abstract
    In semantic Web, the extensive reuse of existing ontology is a central idea of ontology engineering. Ontology partitioning mechanism offers support for modularization and automatic knowledge reuse. This paper proposed a kind of ontology module reuse method: partitioning the big ontology into ontology modules in advance, inquiring and choosing the corresponding ontology modules from the ontology module base in application stage, then applying directly or composing the selected ontology modules. In this paper, method of ontology relation graph-based ontology module partition is proposed. The relevant concepts and criteria of ontology module partition are introduced first. Secondly, we describe ontology relation graph-based method of ontology module partition. The data structure of the ontology relation graph is built, and the algorithm of extended broad first traverse of the ontology relation graph, which is the core of achieving the partition of ontology, is proposed. Thirdly, preliminary experimental results and the corresponding analysis are concerned about. This paper is summarized and the future work is listed in the end.
