Abstract :
In this paper is presented the complete implementation of a compact and versatile multipoint measurement system with wireless transmission and LabVIEW interface for data processing. The system is intended to be used in applications that necessitate remote measurement and monitoring with multiple sensors. The main components of the system are transmitter unit and the receiver connected to PC. The transmitter is realized around a PIC16F877A and is capable to acquire multiplexed data from four analog input channels at a resolution of 10 bits. In the proposed implementation the wireless connection between transmitter unit and the receiver can operate correctly over a distance of 30m using the carrier frequency of 433MHz. The software interface for PC was written in LabVIEW graphical programming language for a more intuitive and versatile operation. The transmission distance can be easily improved by using more powerful radio modules or by using an Internet connection. Also, the presented multipoint data acquisition and monitoring system can be easily adapted for Bluetooth or IrDA links.
