Abstract
A computer-aided method for architectural shape design was developed based on fractal algorithm. This method is creative, intelligent and automatic. Fractal algorithm applied here generates fractal dust as the data of unorganized points. Then the idea of surface reconstruction is borrowed in the construction of surface walls. In the process of surface reconstruction, the Power Crust algorithm has been improved and K-D tree structure has been applied in the separation of inner-poles and outer-poles to accelerate the search for nearest neighbor and raise the efficiency of surface reconstruction.
