Abstract
Computer-Aided Acquisition and Logistic Support (CALS) is fast becoming a way of doing business. This concept, which was developed by the DOD, permits transfer of data between dissimilar computer systems. CALS is defined by a set of standards which are evolving. CALS is also moving into the commercial sector with more companies evaluating the concept as a method of saving time and money
