Abstract :
A dynamical error of the gear ratio is usually present in motor gears. Commonly, high precision mechanical treatment makes possible the reduction of this error. Another solution is increasing gear size and weight. In this paper, a mechatronic method of solving this problem is investigated. A motor torque with a variable component of properly-chosen amplitude and phase may be generated. As a result, significant reduction of the error of the dynamical gear ratio may be achieved. A gear was modelled and a control system structure proposed in which the required torque may be generated. Results of simulations are also presented and discussed
