Development of a self study material contribution and sharing system for passing the information technology engineer certifying examinations

In this paper, the authors propose a self study material contribution and sharing system. In their proposed system, students create e-Learning contents instead of contents venders (including teachers). The target users are students who belong to Faculty of Engineering, Kagawa University and the target domain is the study for passing the information technology engineer certifying examinations. The proposed system provides a learning community for each examination. In the learning community, students who have same purpose can collaboratively learn with other member. For promoting the participation and sustaining students´ learning will, their system uses both intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.
