Abstract :
Spatial patterns of Bemisia tabaci adults in different growing periods of tobacco (Zhongyan-100) were studied based on the analysis of geostatistics to lay the theoretical foundation for sampling, monitoring and integrated control of B. tabaci. From tobacco transplantation to June 5th, the spatial pattern of B. tabaci adult was random. From June 12th to Sep. 18th, the semivariogram curves of B. tabaci adults were fitted by the exponential and spherical models with the range of 9.66m~61.57m. The aggregative intensities were all above 50%, meaning that there were strong spatial correlations within the whitefly adult population. The spatial patterns of B. tabaci adults in the period obviously displayed aggregative distribution. The simulated 3D-maps of the spatial pattern obtained from the analysis of Block Kriging interpolation intuitively showed the spatial distributions of B. tabaci adults in the field. The obvious aggregative center existed in the north part of the tobacco field. The spatial patterns of B. tabaci adults were affected by its biological characteristics and the surroundings.
