Abstract :
In 1993, No. 4 Continuous Caster (No. 4 CC) went on stream on Kawasaki Steel´s Mizushima Works. At No. 4 CC, an integrated EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation, Process Computer) control system was adopted. The background of the selection of the integrated EIC system, the general outline of the system, system performance after introduction, and the design features of the main operation room are described
