Abstract :
A UWB communication transceiver(TRX) named `WiX(Wireless eXpress) TRX´ is proposed, which is featured with three WiMedia UWB RF channels and a new small planar type OMUX, for high data rate TX and RX. Each WiMedia UWB RF channel can treat more than 500Mbps wireless data, and the OMUX combines and splits the output and input of three WiMedia UWB RF channels in the TX and RX modes, respectively. The Wix TRX for the Gbps wireless data communication is designed and implemented, and its performance is verified by the experimental demonstration.
