Abstract :
A number of algorithms for contrast enhancement incorporating fuzzy reasoning have been proposed in the literature. This paper evaluates four familiar fuzzy enhancement algorithms by applying them to the task of mammogram enhancement. MATLAB implementations of the algorithms and performance metrics are available online at http://www.uoguelph.ca/∼mwirth.
