Abstract :
A power-matched passive mixer suitable for a quadrature direct-conversion mm-wave receiver has been integrated in a 65nm CMOS technology. The design of a simple broadband matching network is presented. Measured down-conversion gain is between 10 and 13 dB in the band from 49 to 67 GI3z, limited by the off-chip driving LO amplifier. In the same bandwidth |s11| remains below -12 dB. Power dissipation is 14 mW from a 1.2V supply.
