Abstract :
The base functions (BF) approach, proposed in the literature, is an effective method for set point tracking optimisation with two-degree-of-freedom (2-d.o.f.) regulators, but requires an a priori choice of the feedforward path structure. This manuscript proposes a way to overcome that limitation, and discusses some significant experimental results to illustrate the usefulness of the proposal
