Abstract :
An innovative piecewise curve fitting modeling technique for capacitors and nonlinear inductors based on the matrix computation software MATLAB is proposed in this paper. A set of low order impedance transfer functions obtained by means of the proposed modeling technique can be used to describe the impedance characteristics of capacitors accurately. The same approach can also be used to examine the nonlinear behavior of inductors. The SPICE models of capacitors and inductors based on the obtained mathematical equations can be easily constructed. The validity of the proposed model is verified by an excellent match between simulated results and experimental results
