Abstract :
The design and performance of a compact T- shaped slot antenna for ultra wideband (UWB) communication systems is presented in this paper. Multiple resonant bands are generated and unified to form a wider bandwidth from 2.9 to 11.7 GHz for S11 <; -10 dB by constructing open ended modified T-shaped slot antenna and by including a small section of the microstrip feed line. The simulated result shows that it has stable omnidirectional radiation patterns and pulse handling capabilities within the band of interest.
