Abstract :
We have demonstrated the reliable operation of the designed prototype of the device for multilayered digital rewritable optical data storage. Writing of optical data in each of up to five consecutive layers of photochromic-doped polymer matrix with the equivalent information density of 0.2 G bit/cm2 was performed point-by-point with tightly focused beam of a quasi-cw (rep. rate 100 MHz) femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser
