Abstract :
The road-vehicle cooperative driving system is a system for supporting the operation of vehicles. It uses the technology of mobile continuous telecommunication between vehicles and the road by way of continuous communication media placed along the road side. As the system is currently conceived, there are different levels of support that will provide information, warnings, operational support, and ultimately automatic driving in accordance with the development stage. In this paper, we describe the prerequisites for the introduction of the system, the functions that are expected from each level of development, and the component technologies that are necessary for building the system
