Abstract
The authors use an artificial neural network to support unstructured economic decision processes. Based on the features of the economic decision process and the weaknesses of the error backpropagation algorithm, they derived an improved backpropagation algorithm and applied it in a macroeconomic evaluation decision process, with better results. The improved error backpropagation algorithm overcomes the limitations of the slow convergence rate in the original backpropagation algorithm, to implement reasoning and decision making in unstructured economic decision processes
