Abstract
This paper presents the optimization of a dual polarization spiral antenna array made of interleaved mono polarization elements. The numerical optimization algorithm simultaneously maximizes the VSWR, relative sidelobe level (RSLL), and axial ratio (AR) bandwidths over the scan angles of the array. Furthermore, this mutual coupling was taken into account by using the method of moments for a reasonably large sized array.
