Abstract
In this paper a technique is presented for the analysis of scanning phased arrays. The goal of the proposed method is to render the needed DDM solutions almost independent, from both the number of scanning angles analyzed, and the size of the array. The preliminary study presented herein shows that only 3 applications of the DDM corresponding to the excitation of the center and the two edge elements, along with a shift operation, can provide accurate approximation to predict the scanning characteristics of a phased array.
