Abstract
This paper focuses on the blind channel estimation for MC-CDMA systems with long (aperiodic) spreading codes. The channel impulse response plays an important role in estimation of the transmitted symbol. However, due to the long spreading codes, the time-varying effect makes the channel estimation difficult. For this case, a blind channel estimation algorithm called TCA (transpose column-averaging) and its simplified algorithm are proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithms are easily implemented, and can be used not only in the system with aperiodic spreading codes but also in the system with short (periodic) spreading codes. The results of computer simulation illustrate its performance in different condition
