Abstract :
A two-stage frequency-domain equalizer (FEQ) for filtered multi-tone (FMT) transmission systems is presented. The presented two-stage FEQ is constructed by a traditional decision feedback equalizer (DFE) and a fixed-coefficient Wiener filter. According to complete simulations, it can be shown that the proposed two-stage FEQ can significantly reduce the number of taps in DFE and meanwhile improving its convergence speed
