Abstract :
Engine model is one of the most important items in aircraft simulation, because all aircraft stability parameters, as well as its performance in climbing, and accelerated flights, depend on the propulsive force developed by the power plant. This article defines a generic technique which may estimate preliminary thrust values for Turbofan engines from a few available data. To validate the results, model generated data is compared with empirical data from real engines. Results were expressed in terms of relative errors.
