Abstract :
Establishment of a continuous communication technology between the road and vehicles is an important element in building the road vehicle cooperation driving system. We have examined various communication forms and communication media. In these examinations, leakage coaxial cable (LCX) presented along roads was considered to be an effective continuous communication medium, while quasi-microwave, with which high-speed, large-capacity and high-quality communication is possible, was given as the frequency of the radio waves to be used. Under such circumstances, we conducted experiments to verify the basic communication functions of LCX for quasi-microwave frequencies. It was verified by favorable communication results that LCX for quasi-microwave can be used as a technology for continuous communication between the road and vehicles
