Abstract :
The level crossing rate (LCR) and average fade duration (AFD) are derived and evaluated for Rayleigh fading relay channels with cooperative selection diversity, where the transmission via a dual-hop branch is also addressed. In addition, the outage probability of the signal envelope with selection combining is analyzed. Numerical results of the LCR and the AFD are presented for the comparison of the second-order channel statistic.
