Abstract
Andon is a system to support collaborative work in a lean manufacturing organization. The design of Andon is part of a study aimed at exploring the multiple disciplines involved in CSCW (computer-supported cooperative work). Its development is an attempt to use participatory practices and a proposed lifecycle model to overcome the difficulties that arise during the development of CSCW applications.
